Chi Ho is a 22 years old engineer. He has played parkour for around a year.

Why did you want to play parkour?

I saw a friend posted some parkour photos on Instagram, and I thought it is cool! So I asked him to teach me, and he introduced his friends to me, who were also traceurs. Then I just got into this circle.

What do you think parkour is?

As we all know, parkour is running, jumping, and climbing rapidly through an area, and it is hit in France and UK. I know some traceur may take some dangerous photos and post them on Facebook or Instagram, but I think parkour is far more than this.

I like taking videos and photos when I play parkour also. And I think parkour is about movement and balance. It is an art for me -- art of movement, which can make me feel relax.

What I think about

I actually know Chi Ho for about 7 years. I know that he had played parkour for a year since I've once saw it on his Instagram, so I asked him to help me with this webpage.

It was so amazing when I really saw him to do parkour, as he looked so different that he was confident, shine, and serious. Although his moves had some flaws, I could see that he tried very hard to complete those tasks.

Maybe to many of us, parkour is just a sport, but from my point of view, parkour is also an art, as people enjoy watching it and playing it. It can bring joy to us. Moreover, some shots of parkour are amazing and we can feel the tension from the pictures. It can bring the audiences nervous, exciting, and contented feelings, just like arts, to make audiences feel the same with the artist, the parkour player.

Lastly, we sometimes need creativity when we play parkour. For instance, we have to think that how can we jump over the obstacles beautifully and fluently. We need to decide what is the next movement in a very short time. It is quite a challenge for them, I think. And that's why I think parkour is really a kind of art.
